Reviews
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights with breakfast included. The hotel is conveniently located just 5 minutes from Piazza San Marco, which was the main reason we chose it. The second reason was the reasonable price for accommodation with breakfast. After our stay, I must say that I would happily choose this hotel again. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, offering a variety of options. The staff was exceptionally kind, and they quickly learned our preferences for drinks after the first breakfast, which I truly appreciated. The double room was spacious enough, quit, and everything was kept clean. Overall, it was really pleasant stay.
This hotel was a great discovery. Ideally located, less than 10 minutes from St. Mark's Square, and 20 minutes on foot from the vaporetto stations to Murano/Burano, this hotel is right in the heart of Venice.
Excellent value for money. The room was very comfortable and the view was magnificent. (We were in the highest room of the hotel). It's just a shame that the campanile we had a view of was under construction, but that's not the hotel's fault.
As for the staff, they are lovely.
They speak Italian, of course. But they also speak very good English. And even better, almost all of them spoke French at the reception. And very well, indeed.
Not only were they smiling, courteous, and multilingual, but they were also generous with information and various tips.
The welcome was top-notch.
We highly recommend this hotel.
The only downside is the almost non-existent soundproofing between the room and the corridor.
Very friendly staffs. Decent price and room size, has everything you need. Enjoy the quietness of the island attractions and sunrise.
Like most hotels on the Venice island, no elevators. Staffs help climb and carry luggage to the room from steep stairs.
We loved Hotel Mercurio in every way. We had a great room overlooking the canal. The staff was perfect, they arranged tickets for a Vivaldi concert for us and gave us recommendations for an amazing, delicious restaurant. It was both. a business and vacation trip
We visited with my wife and daughter in August. Everything was perfect. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I can say that we liked the breakfast the most. Thank you Mercurio for your wonderful breakfast.
A very convenient and nice stay! Our room was very large and the AC was appreciated after a hot June day in Venice. Close to everything with a water taxi stop only a few steps away, make sure you ask for the name for an easy arrival with luggage. The water taxi to and from the airport is worth it if you're traveling with checked luggage. Thank you to the amazing front desk team, offered to help us with every detail small and large. Hotel is very clean and very safe area
I had a top floor room for single person. The room and the bed linen were clean, the furnitures were very basic. The bathroom was equipped with shampoo, shower caps etc. The staff at the reception were great, when I checked in the lady in the reception guided me with a map about how to reach the train station from the hotel in the easiest way. The staff at the breakfast room were friendly, and the breakfast was very good. The location is top-notch. The only problems I had- there were no elevator and the room was very hot even in the second week of February.
